Inktober Collection
A painting inspired by a daily prompt
Preparing for the Challenge
My Twist
I decided to use three different inks this year: Indian black, Burnt Sienna, and gold ink for all the paintings in this series.

prompt: Mustache
The gentlemen of the pond
Three dapper, mustachioed frogs lounge on their log, keeping watch over the other creatures and discussing the great matters of the world, and what to have for lunch.
Prompt: Weave
Pumpkin on Doorstep
This little demon pumpkin was left on our doorstep, an orphan destined to befriend a curious kitten. This marks the beginning of the Pumpkin and Kitten series.

prompt: Crown
King of the Burgers
A whimsical crown rests atop a perfectly stacked burger, transforming an everyday meal into a regal delight.
Prompt: Murky
The Spinosaurus
In the murky swamp, teeming with life and hidden in shadows, there’s more than enough food to satisfy a mighty Spinosaurus, from slippery fish to unsuspecting creatures lurking among the reeds.

prompt: Pierce
Target Practice
Be careful flying in front of a dartboard, you never know where those sharp darts might land, and you could end up as target practice. And if you happen to be a vampire, well…
Prompt: Starfish
Rock Star
A starfish with dreams of rock stardom, performing on the reef for its devoted groupies: angelfish, crustaceans, and urchins cheering from the coral crowd.

prompt: Reckless
Blast at the Station
Kitty and Pumpkin are having a blast at the gas station… though no one told them not to smoke while pumping!
Prompt: Shredded
The Hang Out
After a whole day of mischief and mayhem, Kitty and Pumpkin sneak down to the basement and curl up on the old, shredded couch. Exhausted, they plop down for some well-deserved R&R.

prompt: Drink
Thirsty Frog
This thirsty little frog leapt onto a juice box, ready to sip some apple juice… a true master of creative problem-solving!
Prompt: Blunder
Good Luck and Bad
The excitement of a lottery win can disappear in an instant, especially when you knock over your coffee and ruin the ticket.

prompt: Deal
Deal with a Bear
I struck a bargain with a bear: spare my family, and I’ll draw their portraits and share them with the world.
Prompt: Button
Who Let the Ghost Out!
Kitty and Pumpkin found the mysterious button and, with a mischievous grin, pressed it setting every ghost free.

prompt: FireFly
Origin Story of the Firefly
A fly flew too close to a campfire. An ember caught on its tail, lighting it up for a fleeting, magical glow before the night swallowed the light again. (Art on fire in video)
Prompt: Inferno
Escaping the Inferno
During their adventure at an exploding volcano, Pumpkin and Kitty watched in awe as a ghost burst from the fiery depths below, shooting skyward from the volcano’s molten mouth.

prompt: Skeletal / Lesson
An Anatomy lesson
Pumpkin and Kitty had an anatomy lesson. I don’t think the Skeleton was too happy about it.
Prompt: Trunk
The chicken that lays the golden egg!
Is it the chicken or the trunk that is Mmagical?
